Sunday Favourites: books, beauty products and brilliant TV

Ciao bellas, I thought I'd give you a little peek into the things I can't get enough of lately!

My New Diary
I'll be doing a whole blog post on this beautiful concoction of paper, European photography and general deliciousness but for now, here's a quick  look at my new diary I found on eBay for less than £3! Bargainous, no?

Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick
"It hurts to look at the clouds, but it also helps, like most things that cause pain."
When I finished this book a couple of days ago, I just sat there holding it in my hands for a while. It's so perfect, it's one of those books that's going to take a while to 'get over'. For now I'm rebounding with Morris Gleitzman's 'Then'. Has anyone seen the Silver Linings Playbook film? Let me know what you think.

V05 'Plump it Up' Dry Backcomb Spray
This stuff is a god send! It's basically a collagen spray that acts as a replacement for the dreaded routine of backcombing your hair for volume. I love the results and the fact I picked it up in a 2 for £5 deal makes it oh so sweeter. Look how 'poofed' my hair was for work today - result.

Waterstones Oxford Street Twitter
Honestly these guys are hilarious. They brighten up my Twitter feed with their day to day 'book banter' (sorry that's the only way I can describe it) and general hilarity. Go follow!

Mr Selfridge: Sunday 9pm on ITV
I'll be honest, I'm not one for dramas set in another era, it's just never really been my thing. I didn't hop on the Downtown Abbey bandwagon and unless you can count Only Fools and Horses as a period drama, I really haven't indulged in any.
... until now. I was caught by the fact it's about the opening of Selfridges - high end department store with fancy things? I'm in. And it's brilliant! The storyline is great, the make up isflawless and it's so well written. Flick it on tonight and be sure to Tweet me your thoughts.

Agree with any of the above?

  17. SLP is my one true love right now, I read it two months ago and I'm still not over it. The film is brilliant, but be prepared for it to be very different to the book.. Tiffany is quite a different character in the movie I found, though it's just as good as the book if you view them as separate things x
