Friday was the day my friend Katherine and I decided to do her 'post holiday catch up'. Normally we go for a coffee on such an occasion but since she was at work until 8.30pm we thought we'd have a casual drink at one of our favourite pubs.
So, I left my house around 8.45pm, casually brushing off my parents questions about what time I'd be home with a wave of the hand and a 'oh, not late'.
I didn't get home until the following afternoon. Oops?
The pub catch up was successful - I talked too loud at a few points and we people watched. Before I know it it's a few hours later, we're in a club and I'm haphazardly texting the mothership saying I'm out and I cannot for the life of me hear my phone if she tried to contact me.
So we danced until we couldn't any longer, I bumped into one of my favouriteist friends from school who I haven't seen in a year. He greeted me by picking me up and shouting 'Yeaaaaah' before I had the chance to shout at him to put me down - which I could barely hear myself over the music that left my ears ringing so much you'd think I'd been with Katniss when that bomb detonated.
Anyway, for someone who doesn't really do that sort of scene I have to say, I had the best time and I know what I'm doing this Friday...
For any lone Internet wolves out there who often opt for Netflix over a night out (hey, I'm one of you), I challenge you to just do it. You'll love it.
P.S. I wore these glasses for a little time whilst out. Do they make me super lame or only a little bit?
